Project overview
Development of an interactive e-learning platform that combines Japanese abacus training with modern technology for Edukura.
Abacus Mental Math is a startup with a clear mission: to make the traditional Soroban method available online without losing its pedagogical core. The existing processes were entirely offline and heavily dependent on individual teachers. For schools and parents, it was difficult to measure learning progress or individualize learning paths.
Additionally, a solution was needed that motivates young children to practice regularly, see their progress and gradually internalize complex processes like Anzan. The platform needed to reach learners between five and thirteen years old as well as relieve teachers.

Through intensive consultations with the Abacus team, we developed a deep understanding of their vision and the specific needs of the project. - User-centered design
We designed a user interface that is specifically tailored for young learners to inspire and motivate them. - Platform structure
Using PHP/Laravel for the backend and Vue.js for the frontend, we developed a responsive and powerful web application. - Additional Features
In close cooperation with Abacus, we continuously implemented new features to continuously improve the learning process.
