Project overview

For SelfTruX we built a modular platform that restructures the highly fragmented commercial vehicle market. Sellers achieve better prices, dealers find matching vehicles faster and the entire process is digitally orchestrated.

Challenge

The market for used commercial vehicles was chaotic. Dealers were calling countless companies every day to find trucks they could resell. Sellers, in turn, had so many potential buyers that transparency and comparability were lacking. Nobody had a central overview, processes were manual, repetitive and error-prone. For SelfTruX as a startup this meant a great opportunity, but also a complex starting point. The platform needed to map two business models simultaneously: direct sales and auctions for dealers as well as a separate leasing offering for corporate clients. This required structured workflows, clear roles and automated steps so that administrative effort remains minimal and the system functions reliably.

Solution

We developed a Progressive Web App that combines trading, leasing and auctions in a modular architecture. Custom code and no-code building blocks enable rapid further development and high flexibility. Core components are:

  • central vehicle registration with VIN decoder
  • auction mechanics for fair, transparent market prices
  • automated communication, payments and approvals
  • role-based access logic for dealers, sellers, appraisers and admins
  • structured processes for appraisal, listings, leasing requests and processing

SelfTruX now acts as the digital hub where all participants come together efficiently.

Impact

Sellers achieve higher prices as dealers bid transparently against each other. Dealers save time because they no longer have to call across the country. Corporate clients benefit from clear processes for leasing. For the SelfTruX team, manual effort decreases significantly as the platform automatically controls many workflows. The solution is built so that it can be continuously extended.
